Foreman/Framer, Carpenter-Dry-Rot Repair (Oregon Coast)

-We are seeking an experienced Framer, Carpenter, or Independent Contractor who lives between Newport and Pacific City (ideally) as they would be positioned to service much of our Oregon Coast Service Area.

-The majority of our dry-rot jobs are in the coastal region between Seaside and Waldport. For multiple-day jobs, all accommodations are company-paid.

-Our shop and office are located in McMinnville, OR and you will be expected to attend paid company meetings as applicable to your duties.

-Will negotiate Pay, Schedule, and Pay Status of Full-Time, Non-Exempt/Salaried employees.

Salary Range: $35-$50 (D.O.E)

Responsibilities

  • Installations
  • Safely, accurately, and efficiently measures, cuts, and installs metal/wood framing.
  • Safely, accurately, and efficiently installs following the direction.

Experience Requirements

We are seeking an experienced stud who knows the ins and outs of framing from a sill plate to the roof and everything in between. [We are not considering applicants who don’t have at least 5 years of framing experience for this position]. You must possess a valid, Drivers license and be willing to undergo a background check. We will consider some 2nd-chance applicants if the prospect seems mutually beneficial.

Knowledge/Personal Integrity

Be able to speak the lingo, know the terminology, and be able to speak to the differences between post and beam framing verses and floor joist/pier framing. Have a personality! This is a semi-independent position and you will be representing our brand, if you’re clean-cut, professional, have tools, a kick-butt, and a can-do attitude, we already like you! If a strange part of you loves the thought of working in wet, damp, nasty crawl spaces, you’re not alone, we feel that way too! Customer Service/Leadership

Many times, you will be responsible for communicating with homeowners, realtors, and tenants about the scope of work, any issues that arise, and the collection of payment at project completion. We are straight-shooters who value honesty, integrity, and owning all aspects of our work. Additionally, you could ultimately lead a crew of 1-6 technicians, so effective communication skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to provide in-the-moment coaching and recognition are a must.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 5+ Year’s framing/construction experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
  • Ability and skill in operating equipment and power tools required.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force.
  • Ability to move in cramped and potentially wet crawl spaces up to 80% of the time.
  • Must be mentally and physically able to work in challenging and demanding spaces daily.

Benefits/Compensation

$35 to $50 per hour depending on experience

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Must have reliable transportation, our days start at 7:30 am in McMinnville, Monday-Friday in McMinnville, Oregon

Responsibilities

Our technicians assist the Project Foremen with crawl space repairs including;  foundations, structural repairs, wet crawl spaces, dig-outs, and installation of sump pumps, drainage pipes, posts and piers, and all things crawl space related! Crawlspace Technicians are also responsible for other tasks including but not limited to tool inventory and other errands as necessary. • Light carpentry • Hauling materials and debris • Light plumbing • Light masonry • Tool Inventory/Maintenance

Your Crawl Space Guys is offering to beat any competitor’s bid by at least 10% on the following repairs:

 

  1. Wet crawl spaces needing a sump pump, trenches, vapor barrier, etc.
  2. Crawl space dig-outs*
  3. New foundations on existing structures*
  4. Dry-rot & structural repairs

 

Terms: 

 

  1. Must be in our current service area.
  2. Must be dug out as outlined by the Oregon Building code (at least 18”).  
  3. Excludes foundations on prefabricated structures including mobile and manufactured homes.
  4. If your project does not qualify for our promotion, we will let you know right away, no gimmicks!
